Our
bodies are built to heal themselves
We have to keep all aspects of life
balanced - if we do that we stay happy and healthy.
Our bodies
are self-regulating systems
that are designed to heal themselves. Sometimes
blockages and stressors can interfere with
the connections in
this system leading to pain and/or disease. Using
kinesiology, the imbalance, its cause and the
best method for
restoring balance is found.
Triad of Health
If we
think of ourselves as equilateral triangles with equal emphasis on all
sides, we will develop an understanding of the "Triad of Health":

Mental –
patterns, thoughts, ideas, dreams
Emotional
–
feelings, sensations, defenses
Physical –
structure,
neurology, chemicals
Ideally, a
person would be in perfect
balance but when under stress in one of the sides of the triangle,
distortion follows.. Over time
as further stressors cause further
distortions,
dis-ease and dis-comfort result.
Have you
ever physically hurt yourself and become tearful or upset? Have
you ever got butterflies or pains in your tummy before speaking to an
authority figure or before speaking publically? Have you ever had
a bad dream which made you tired and grumpy for the rest of the
day?
Can you see
how mental, physical and emotional are connected?
In the
same way, headaches, colds and flu, gastric problems, etc, etc are tied
in with the holistic picture of mental, physical and emotional;
i.e. re-balance is needed! Through kinesiology all of these
issues can be dealt with and resolved.
Restoring
balance
Kinesiology
treats the whole person, encompassing all
aspects
of health: structural, nutritional,
physiological and psychological; using
a combination of safe and gentle techniques to restore balance and a
sense of well-being.
With the
pace and demands of modern
life, we no longer give our bodies the time to heal properly. A kinesiologist’s aim is to balance the body
to regain its optimal state for healing; by
removing or reducing stressors, be they
emotional, chemical, physical
etc.
Each body is unique
Ten people might present with neckache
and each of those ten people need a unique approach to resolve the
neckache. One person may need Vitamin C while another needs to
deal with repressed anger while another might need to change the way
they think about themselves. Kinesiology identifies the unique
process for you no matter how your discomfort presents itself.
